How It Started...
Hope 2 Others (H2O) was started by Leslie and Lauren Reavely, sisters living in the Portland, Oregon area, a few years ago.
Emily Walker met Lauren at a Speech and Debate Tournament in 2009 and was inspired to start a group in her hometown of Grants Pass.

What exactly is H2O?
Hope 2 Others is a non-profit ministry with the goal of feeding the homeless, both with food and the good news of Jesus Christ! We accomplish this through H2O bags, which are lunch bags filled with the items listed below. If you are interested in helping us you may either help us in one of many ways (Go to our "how you can help" page) or purchase a bag. These bags are sold for around $3 each. The purpose of purchasing these bags is so that you may keep a few in your car and when you see someone with a "Homeless and Hungry" sign you will have something to give that person that will truly help them.
I have always been concerned about what a homeless person might do with the money that I think of giving them. I'm sure we've all thought, "What if they just go buy cigarettes, alcohol or drugs?" Well, these bags are the solution. H2O bags provide us with what we need to truly help homeless people.
